Youth Christmas Wreath Sales

November starts the youth’s annual wreath sale. The price is $25; payment is due with your order. Checks can be made out to “Gethsemane Youth”. Our youth will have a table after worship or talk with a youth to place your order. Wreath pick-up will be at at Gethsemane on Dec. 7th following worship.

Youth Mission/Service Trip 2026

LIFT is headed to The Dwelling in Winston-Salem North Carolina in July of 2026! You do not have to be part of LIFT to participate in this trip. You just need to join in the fundraising and planning. If you are a high schooler, YOU are invited to be a part of this exciting, life-changing, faith-building, transformative experience. The youth will plan and lead worship on Sunday, November 30th. If you are a youth in grades 7-12, you are invited to a planning meeting at church on Wed, Nov. 12 at 6pm. Dinner will be provided. We will be talking about themes and assigning parts. If you cannot make the meeting but want to participate in the worship service on Sunday, November 30, please talk with Pastor Rebecca.

Everyone is invited to a LUTEFISK & MEATBALL DINNER on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 3:00 – 7:00 pm at Gethsemane Lutheran Church.

Hold Those Thrivent Cards in Reserve

Range of Voices Holiday Concerts

The Range of Voices community choir will present their 57th Annual Holiday concerts on Friday, November 21, and Sunday, November 23rd.

The concert on Friday, November 21st, will be at the Chisholm Baptist Church in Chisholm, Minnesota, at 7:00 p.m. The concert on Sunday, November 23rd, will be at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Virginia at 2:00 p.m. A coffee an’ fellowship will follow the concerts.

This year, the holiday concerts will feature a special mix of Christmas carols

Christmas is Just Around the Corner

You’re invited to help us prepare our church for the Christmas season. November 30, 2025 marks the first Sunday of Advent, which falls on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. It’s a bit crazy, but we will decorate after church on Sunday, November 23, 2025. Just a heads up, if you’re a football fan, the Vikings play the Packers at noon on November 23rd. There’s a possibility that the game could be televised in the Sanctuary if needed.

Gethsemane Angel Coordinators

The Gethsemane Angel program is a way that we, as a congregation, are organizing ourselves in service to the Lord. We ask every person to volunteer to serve during one month of the year with a “Team of Angels”.
